Recount Text

Recoun text is a text that serves to recount event that happened in the past.

Tense  used are simple past tense.

Generic structure:

1.  Orientation

Is section that telss about the setting or background of the story.

2.  Series of Event

Is section which tells of events in the past.

3.  Reorientaion

Is messages/opinions of the characters associated with events that have occurred.

Characteristics:

1. Wear past tense.
2. Wear related word

Sympathy Expression

Sympathy expression is an expression of feeling of pity and sorrow when we know and see someone of people are unlucky or have trouble and in bad condition.

Examples of sympathy expression:

·         I’m sorry to hear that.

·         Oh, dear!

·         You must be very upset.

·         How pity you are!

Invitation

Invitation is a request to participate or be present or take part in progamme or to do something

How to accepting an invitation:

·         Great! Let’s do it.

·         That’s good idea.

How to declining an invitation:

·         I’m really sorry about that.

·         Sorry, I can’t. I have something to do that day.

Announcement

Announcement is something said, written, or printed to make known what has happened or what will happen.

In writing announcement, keep the following point:

1. The title/type or event

2.Date/ time, place

3. contact person

We can find the announcement on television, radio, newspaper, billboard, magazine, etc.

Greeting

Greeting is something that you say or do when you meet someone.

How do you greet other people:

·         How are you?

·         How’s everything with you?

How do you introduce your self:

·         Let me introduce my self, my name is Jack.

·         Hello, I’m Rizki.

How do you introduce other people:

·         I would like to introduce Abu.

·         I’m glad to met you.

How do you close or end your conversation:

·         See you!

·         God bless you!
