Sentence Active and Passive Sentences

Transitive verb has two voice (voice), active and passive.

1) The active is a person, animal, or object indicated by the subject says

do something else.

Example: Karim killed a tiger. Karim kill a tiger

2) The passive is a person, animal or object is said to suffer from something from something else.

Example: A tiger was killed by Karim. Karim was killed by a tiger

Passive voice:

To Be + Past Participle

The rules:

a) transitive verb is not used in the passive voice, except that it uses the verb cognate object in active form.

Active: She his a fine song. He sang a melodious song

Passive: A fine song was sung by her. A melodious song sung by him

b) When the sentence was changed from active to passive form, the object to be the subject of active verbs to passive sentences work.

object to an active verb:

Active: Linda cans make tarts. Linda can make tart

Subject to the passive verb:

Passive: Tarts cans be made by Linda

c) Retained objects (objects that still used / maintained in the passive)

Two objects in the active sentence, when converted into the passive voice, there is still an object is maintained, this object is called the retained object. This object may be an indirect object of an active verb or direct object of the verb is active.
